As Project Manager, you now have the opportunity to join the ABB Traction Motor team in Västerås that provides electrical motors for sustainable transportation. Each order is customer specific and designed for a unique application which is provided in our project organization. The project entails electrical dimensioning, mechanical design, purchase, and production preparation as well as material procurement, manufacturing, and testing. In this role, you will collaborate closely with both customers and internal stakeholders as well as the internal cross-functional team making sure we deliver according to customer requirements.
Your responsibilities
Successfully execute assigned project(s) on-time, within budget with on-quality & safety framework of ABB
Lead the project team allocated to the Project, be involved in technical discussions and decisions
Ensure that the project team has required information to carry out their work in accordance with the project requirements
Align project with contractual requirements, act as key contact and establish and maintain good customer relationship
Actively manage risks and opportunities
Invoicing and collect payments on time
Present project status in reviews and follow-up meetings and act as an escalation point for project issues
With support of the existing project processes further develop our organization and processes
Implement and evaluate new process steps
Your background
You have either a Master’s degree in Engineering or a few years' experience in technology
3-5 years of experience in technical project management or project management
Working in an engineering/manufacturing environment
Strong written and spoken communication skills in both English and Swedish are mandatory
Knowledge of drive systems or the ability to quickly get a good understanding of the technology
A collaborative, solution-focused approach
Open-minded and outgoing
