Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Project Manager to join our Skellefteå team.

A Project Manager manages the development and implementation process of a company’s products and services. Coordinates departmental or cross-functional teams, focused on delivering new or upgrading existing products. Monitors the project from initiation through delivery including planning and directing schedules and monitoring budget/spending. Organizes cross-functional activities, ensuring completion of the project i.e. product on schedule and within budget constraints.
Key responsibilities
Daily manage safety within the project. Internal audits, permits, risk assessments to be controlled, training and documentation.
Ensure safe operations by following safety procedures, rules and legislation and acting as a role model as well as assuring that all work in the area is following the standards.
Schedule the project activities and set objectives for the project and follow up in progress. Take actions to ensure success of the project together with management.
Report status, achieved results and suggest necessary improvements. Make root cause analysis of deviations to enable improvement actions.
Coordinate resources and assuring that everybody has got the correct information, P&IDs and
Provide technical and coordination support and documentation to Senior Management
Cooperation with maintenance, process engineering, quality, purchasing and legal to ensure high level of quality of work
Implement, improve and maintain high housekeeping standards within working area.
Train others on equipment, methods, processes and company standards.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
Advanced certifications, such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or Lean Six Sigma certification, are highly desirable.
2+ years of experience managing projects in the manufacturing, automotive, or related industry, preferably with experience in large-scale or multi-phase projects.
Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams, budgeting, and managing timelines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Prior experience managing projects related to product launches, process improvements, or plant expansions within manufacturing/automotive

Specific skills
Project Planning and Scheduling: Proficiency in creating detailed project plans, schedules, and timelines using project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Jira).
Risk Management: Strong risk assessment skills, with experience in developing risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address project issues.
Performance Tracking: Skilled in monitoring and measuring project progress against KPIs, milestones, and deliverables to ensure accountability and goal alignment.
Manufacturing and Automotive Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with industry-specific regulations, standards, and best practices, such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and APQP (
Process Improvement Methodologies: Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to drive project efficiencies and quality improvements.
