The Infrastructure Directorate at the European Spallation Source (ESS) in Lund, Sweden, invites applications for a Project Manager, Office & Labs. 

Description of directorate/division
The Conventional Facilities (CF) division is responsible for the planning, design and construction of all buildings and installations required for operation of the accelerator, target and instruments.
CF works also include site and infrastructure preparation, construction support, all facility buildings, user and general service buildings.

Description of main responsibilities
The position as Project Manager, Office & Labs, entails project management of the design and construction of the office and laboratories as well as the parts of the campus area. The plan is for the design to be done by ESS hired consultants up until preliminary design and then procure a financing solution that will include a design and build of the facilities by a contractor. The successful candidate has experience of design and construction as well as contractor and project development. 
The main tasks include:



• Responsible for the design and construction of the office and labs

• Leading the design process up until preliminary design and defining the requirements by gathering information from the ESS organization and the end users

• Assist in the procurement of the landlord/contractor

• Contributing to the construction team with project development knowledge

• Coordination with the other projects

Your English skills are excellent both oral and written, knowledge of other European languages would be an advantage. The position is permanent with six months initial probationary period. Your work place will be situated in Lund, Sweden.
