Your role
As Project Manager you will be part of the Department Management team and report directly to the Head of Land Department. The Land Department is one of three departments in a Product Unit Air & Land which has profit & loss responsibility. The majority of our business are focusing on our home market and the Swedish Army, but we also manage export customers outside of Sweden. As one of our Project Managers you will have a clear responsibility for managing your project/contract and the reporting will be to the Project Owner (i.e. Department manager). Our project portfolio contains a variety of projects, from small to medium size programs.
The main activities are situated in Järfälla, Sweden where our development takes place. The role Project Manager implies close cooperation with the customer and end user, collaboration with partners and colleagues all over Sweden and in some cases abroad.

Your profile
We are looking for a project manager for the land department that can contribute with drive, enthusiasm and are interested in our customer needs. We believe that you have a good understanding of Project Management in general, preferably certified PMI/IPMA, and has an understanding of leading complex development projects with a considerable amount of software and hardware content. Experience and/or knowledge in Army Command & Control is an advantage (especially Artillery in the near term). As a candidate for this position, you have the ability to work independent, take on great responsibility and have excellent communication skills. We expect you have a Master's degree or equivalent (e.g. military degree). We expect you to communicate fluently in Swedish and English.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. You will be a part of Business Unit Combat Systems and Product Unit Air and Land. We are experts on C4I (Command, Control, Communication, and Computer Information System), which is one of Saab Core Areas. In the Land Department we are experts in digitizing the Ground based battlefield. Our C4I solutions applies advanced IT security and integration technologies in combination with Military-off-the-shelf (MOTS) hardware and software packages. Our end users are represented on all command levels (from Head to HQ) and in all Combat Services (e.g. Mechanized, Artillery and CBRN forces). Combat Systems is a part of Surveillance.
