Project Manager, Business Intelligence

Swegon is building a global BI solution for the group. This work is carried out cross-functionally and the purpose is to strengthen our analytical and reporting capacity. The company has several source systems that feed into a central data warehouse. Information from the data warehouse is used for decision-making in all areas of the business, with an initial emphasis on financial analyses.

About the position
We are looking for a dynamic Business Intelligence Project Manager to join our BI Team with exceptional project management skills and a strong track record in delivering challenging Business Intelligence Solutions. You will play a driving role in scoping, aligning, and ensuring efficient delivery of enterprise data and analytics initiatives. This role demands highly effective communication across a range of stakeholders and a strong inclination to process and organization.

You should have experience working alongside business users, BI developers, and technical teams to deliver data projects. Your ability to work independently with limited direction, communicate effectively with team members in disparate geographic locations, and provide leadership and direction will be keys to your success.

Areas of responsibility:


• Develop and manage project plans from beginning to end.
• Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Support multiple business units in the areas of requirements definition, requirements documentation, test case documentation, and creating and updating project documentation such as project plans, spreadsheets, status reports, and presentations.
• Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans.
• Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify issues, and devise contingency plans.
• Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
• Present and articulate solutions to management and/or project stakeholders and others while interfacing with technical resources, business owners, end users, and management
• Dive into data analysis to assist the team when required

Your profile
You are a professional with an overall understanding of the business Intelligence needs of a multinational business. You are communicative and you are experienced in project management and software development. You are a doer who can drive a development area independently

Requirements:


• Bachelor or master’s degree
• Approximately 2 years relevant work experience within BI Management.
• Language: Fluent in English & Good level of Swedish
• Knowledge of Microsoft's various BI tools, such as T-SQL, Power BI, SSIS, SSAS
• Experience of financial consolidation & operational reporting within a global company
• Ability to build bridges between the business and the technology sides & lead BI projects from beginning to end.
• Energy and strong communication skills
• Experience from software development
• Your personality is important. You need to be able to lead BI projects and inspire to go “beyond decent code”.
