Project Manager Cab Production - Industrial Operations China

Arbetsbeskrivning

Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
Cab Production in China – Full-scale Scania production setup from zero
Scania has taken the strategic decision to set up a 3rd industrial hub in China - a project to develop and implement full-scale assembly operations has been initiated within Scania Production & Logistics. We are now looking for a Project Manager for Cab Assembly Production to manage production equipment projects towards installation, commissioning, and hand-over! This is a unique possibility to work in a diverse, global, and cross-functional context where your personal experience and your perspective will contribute to Scania’s success in China.

Your assignment
The Cab Assembly Production team is already today a global team working with both equipment projects as well as organisational development. The team has an entrepreneurial spirit and a high focus on deliveries. As Project Manager you will have the responsibility to plan and execute production equipment projects according to the over plan and business needs. Your main tasks will be to plan the projects, manage the project resources, handle project risk, and execute the projects through tendering, engineering, installation, and commissioning.

Your profile
To be comfortable in this role you need to have project management skills, be structured, and have the ability to work independently but be well-coordinated with others. You appreciate and are eager in breaking down and concretizing project descriptions into reality. Creating energy and a constructive and safe environment comes naturally to you. You see leadership as exciting and see yourself as a person who wants to influence and change, is unpretentious, and can work with all types of assignments.

You have an enthusiastic and confident authority with integrity, and good social skills and you take responsibility. You need to be able to see the big picture and also dig into the details. You speak and write fluent English and have a University degree in engineering or similar as a base.

We think you have a good overall understanding of processes and understanding the ways of working within Scania in general and Cab Production in particular. Good analytical skills and competence in both strategic and operational issues are preferred. You can analyze the organisation’s overall needs and on that basis implement the necessary changes.

Your location
The Cab Production project team (TCH) is based in Oskarshamn, this will be the localization of this position.
