We are currently seeking a Project Manager to join our growing team who will play a pivotal role managing the implementations and delivery of collection management systems, and related products, for a high-profile client base located in the USA. If you are a Project Manager currently working in the cultural and heritage sector and interested in furthering your career with a global company offering excellent career progression, then this might be the challenge you are looking for. In this position, you may work from one of our Canadian offices (Vancouver, Ottawa, or Toronto) or remotely.

Reporting to Head of Project Delivery, the Project Manager will:


• Manage the delivery of multiple products for a high-profile client base in the cultural and heritage sector.
• Work closely with team members located in various offices across the globe to plan and resource projects.
• Liaise closely with customers to guide them through the implementation process.
• Ensure work is delivered to the highest quality and within scope.
• Be involved with both large flagship projects, and also smaller implementations as time allows.

You are

To qualify and be successful in this position, you will need to be an effective and organized Project Manager who can demonstrate at least 5 years previous project management experience, preferably related to software implementations and collections management. We also expect you to have experience in working with, or a background in archives, libraries, or museums (desirable). It is also desirable if you have a background in natural history or museum collection management.

Other important personal attributes and experiences are:


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.


• Efficient organizational skills – you must be able to effectively prioritize your work and respond appropriately to changing situations.
• Excellent attention to detail - ensuring that all loose ends are tied up.
• High quality customer service skills.
• Experience of business analysis and understanding customer requirements and processes (desirable).
• A willingness to travel to client sites and work flexible hours when required.

Previous project management experience is essential, as is completion of a relevant post-secondary education program and a PMP certification. Experience working with external customers would be an asset. Additional language skills, for example French and/or Arabic would also be highly advantageous, but not essential.
