WHAT IS AXIS?
Axis is a fast growing and innovative IT company with a global footprint. Our success is largely due to our highly skilled staff and our strong culture of daring to succeed and allowing ourselves to constantly break new ground. We allow and promote independent thinking; we seek to act as one, to be always open, and to think big!

We are now looking for a Project Manager to join our Core Technologies Imaging Systems team within our Research & Development department.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As Project Manager at Core Technologies Imaging Systems you will be running projects covering several key areas, e.g. imaging techniques, features and algorithms, from early definition to release to the product development organization. We also strive to let our project managers lead projects in nearby organizations, e.g. more focused on sensor and optics qualifications, system features as well as pure SW development projects.

It will be your responsibility to plan and execute these projects. You will also be responsible for the overall communication around your project, e.g. towards the steering group as well as towards the receivers. Projects are typically run in small teams of 3-15 individuals. You will be responsible for running multiple projects in parallel.

Your main tasks will be to

* Work with the technologies and product development organizations to refine the project ideas and specifications
* Drive project management activities like planning, follow-up and status reporting
* Manage your project team, internally and externally, and fight for your project’s success
* Always question what can be done better/more efficiently
* Actively look for solutions, including technical, and drive decision making
* Look for synergies and dependencies with/on other projects
* Dare to set tough, but yet realistic, schedules and inspire and coach the team to succeed
* Work closely with project manager colleagues to form and improve the way projects are run at Axis

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a Project Manager with an educational background in engineering; preferably with a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Engineering Physics. The right candidate has an interest in product development and 5+ years of experience from development projects. You have experience from leading and participating in SW or HW projects, preferably experience from both. Experience in ASIC projects and IP design is considered a merit. Furthermore we think you have good knowledge of development processes and project models, and a genuine interest in how to drive projects in an efficient and successful way.

The role as Project Manager is collaborative and requires the ability to interact with many people inside and outside the organization. You have good communication skills and are fluent in English, both written and verbal. You have a natural strong drive and the ability to impact your team, but still you are humble and skilled at situational leadership. We believe the position requires a creative, driven and goal-oriented individual with social skills enabling a good team spirit and good performance in the projects.

THE CORE TECHNOLOGIES IMAGING SYSTEMS TEAM
The Core Technologies Imaging Systems team is responsible for the development of the imaging processing architecture, features and algorithms, as well as for the camera sensor and optics vendor interaction and evaluation for Axis products. We deliver technology platforms on which the product development organization builds cameras. The team is also a competence center for the R&D organization in areas of image processing, sensor and optics technologies.

WHAT AXIS CAN DO FOR YOU
As Project Manager within Core Technologies Imaging Systems you will work with new technology and help build the foundation for future products. You have a great chance for development in an organization that values creativity and promotes individual growth. Axis treats its employees with great trust and freedom, which means that you as Project Manager have both the trust and freedom to find the best way forward for you and your projects. We welcome your application and look forward to the possibility of you joining us!

READY TO ACT?
Axis is a company realizing the benefits of a diverse workforce. We know that diversity in groups creates a better working environment and promotes creativity, something that is fundamental for our success.
