Tetra Laval Food for Development (FfD) is the arm of Tetra Pak and DeLaval that coordinates and makes available the group's extensive knowledge and experience in school feeding and nutrition programmes linked to agricultural and dairy development programmes that the group has gathered over the years. FfD supports customers to develop and implement school milk and school feeding programmes and to link these programmes to dairy and agricultural development programmes based on public private partnerships. Currently we are engaged in 59 school milk and school feeding programmes, serving 66 million children.
What you will do
As our new Project Manager - Dairy Development, you will:
.Execute technical assistance missions supporting our on-going Dairy Hub projects by providing practical training to smallholder farmers, Extension Service Officers, capacity building, monitor implementation, verify data collection, ensure that the Dairy Hub process in place, interview with customer supply chain personnel, quality inspection.
.Work closely with DeLaval to ensure their involvement in our Dairy Hub projects and their business development opportunities are captured.
.Support Tetra Pak Commercial Operations to develop new Dairy Hub projects in developing countries.
.Organise and implement Dairy Hub projects that conform to best practices used worldwide.
.Providing qualitative impact data linked to our projects and local value chain development.
.Prepare detailed documentation that presents technical assistance mission findings, project results, and recommendations to our customers and stakeholders.
.Provide training and capacity building to our customers' personnel and extension services.
.Conduct assessments of analysis of the milk quality, volume, pricing analysis, and propose improvement solutions for our customers.
.Work closely with DeLaval to ensure their involvement in our Dairy Hub projects and their business development opportunities are captured.
.Drive project management and implementation for all Dairy Hub projects using our process and tools.
The preferred position location is Stockholm. Other host locations will also be taken into consideration. You will work in a global arena and will travel around 50% of your time.
Who you are
We believe that you have a University Degree in Agriculture, Animal Science and Nutrition or related fields and at least 5 years practical experience within dairy farming and development work. You executed assessments of ongoing and newly implemented dairy development projects, put forth recommendations to improve, provide training, coordinate with all stakeholders to execute the recommended process. A good understanding of dairy farm management, milk procurement process and how dairy development models are used and applied in various countries. As a person have a strong passion for hands-on training, lots of creative ideas, a lot of energy, a strong drive for results and the ability to deliver on time. An excellent command of English, both oral and written is required.
