Electromobility - Power conversion develop most hardware within electromobility vehicles except for the batteries and power cables. The department is split into two areas: Motor Drive System (MDS) – Electric Machines, Electrical Motor Drive and its SW – and Electrical Distribution and Charging (ED&C) – Junction boxes, DCDC converters, Monitoring ECUs, Charging ECUs and Charging Inlets and more.
At Volvo we are working according to our adaptation of a Scaled Agile Framework so as a project manager with us you will lead projects as an Epic owner in both MDS and ED&C, or one of them if your expertise or preferences are in that field.
General mission:
As an Epic Owner you are driving the cross-functional work to deliver the concerned epic scope according to QDCFS objectives. It includes managing interfaces with other departments, secure alignment across all involved agile teams and all cross functional stakeholders, including our customer brands and business areas.
Epic Owners tasks
Lead the Epic / Project through the different phases – From refining scope and requirements in the early phases, through prototyping and testing and problem reports in the mid-phases, all the way to Start of production and handover to maintenance
Manage high level Plans and Milestones
Secure budget, financial decisions and follow up for the scope of the Epic
Ensure the complete product delivery according to the Epic description
We are looking for a … trusted leader with strong drive who knows how to spark team engagement. You have been working in automotive product development for years. You have a business mindset, ability to prioritize and focus on key areas to secure maximum customer value in a fast-changing environment.
Requirements:
Master of Science in Engineering or equivalent
Fluent in English, verbally and in writing
Excellent communication skills, verbally and in writing
Experience in project management
Experienced in automotive industry, power electronics or drive line
Strong drive and high energy level with ability to contribute to create a high performing working culture
CAST (Common Architecture and Shared Technology) driven
