Trans Europe Halles (TEH) is actively looking for a motivated Project Manager to join its international team in Lund, Sweden, starting on 9 January 2023 (replacement parental leave 1,5 year).
Salary: 28000 SEK
Hours: Full-time 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week)

About the TEH
Trans Europe Halles is a pan European network with more than 140 members in 40 European countries in every part of the continent initiated by citizens and artists.
We have been at the forefront of repurposing industrial and commercial buildings for arts, culture and community uses since 1983. TEH members are multidisciplinary spaces that combine artistic and social activities, as they believe that arts and culture have the power to transform people, spaces and societies.
The coordination team consists of 11 skilled and motivated people from different professional backgrounds and origins (Europe, Asia, Middle East and Africa), and a long record of international experience. TEH’s communication language is English.
Job Title: Project Manager International Resource Office, audience development and Nordic partnerships
Reports to: The Director of strategic development.
Works with: Colleagues within the Trans Europe Halles Office, the network members and associate members, Skåne cultural actors, Swedish funders and stakeholders, partners from the Nordic region, educational institutions and networks, youth advocacy groups.
Main purpose of the position:
The post-holder will work closely with the Director of strategic development and the Managing Director in developing and implementing the local and regional development strategy of Trans Europe Halles in Sweden and Scandinavia, and inform and assist, connect Swedish stakeholders with European initiatives and funding opportunities.
The role will be the point of entry to TEH for all local and regional partners, and will be expected to develop and nurture excellent relations with TEH’s Swedish and funders and partners in particular, and expand the network’s activities in the Nordic region by coordinating the Nordic Hub.
As head of the International Resource Office (IRO) you will assist Skåne’s cultural actors with support, tips and tailor-made advice on international cultural cooperation and EU support by:
Assisting in development of international cooperation projects and providing feedback on applications
Communicating updated information about deadlines contents and types of EU funding accessible to local stakeholders
Offering capacity building workshops for international projects: organisational development, application processes, finance and project management, international marketing and communications, international network building, insights on EU funding schemes etc.
Matching local organisations with partner organisations within Europe to initiate international projects
In addition, the post holder will support TEH’s Arts Education Hub and Youth Hub piloting the audience development and youth oriented projects for the network, in accordance with the organization’s strategic plan. The Project Manager will advise the Director of strategic development and the Managing Director on youth cultures and arts education trends, develop connections and partnerships with educational institutions, cultural contents producers for the youth (online and IRL), youth advocacy groups and identify funding opportunities to develop ad hoc programs and policy recommendations for the cultural sector.
The post holder will be expected to write and report on structural grants from the Swedish three levels of government, lead and/or assist in writing and implementing grant programs for the network, in their areas of expertise, and to assist colleagues with content production whenever required (conferences, workshops, webinars, articles, etc).
Desired Skills & Expertise
Precise knowledge of the Swedish cultural landscape, stakeholders and funding structures, in particular in the Skåne region and in the city of Lund.
Background, expertise, and strong interest European cooperations and funding schemes for the cultural sector, youth, education, arts and culture
At least three years of experience within an arts and culture organisation, preferably in Sweden, including developing and delivering capacity-building, educational or youth programs, writing and implementing grants and interfacing with educators, youth groups and expert stakeholders
Experience of project management – delivering projects, events (online and IRL), and reports to a specific timeline
Strong communicator, able to engage and negotiate with diverse stakeholders and to translate complex ideas into clear language
Interpersonal skills, flexibility, patience, and empathy
Interest in and understanding of the specificities of the independent arts and culture sector in the Nordic countries and in Europe
Qualifications
College degree or equivalent life experience preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office including MS Project, Outlook, Word, and Excel;
Native Fluency in Swedish and high level of written and spoken English
