Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.To be a global champion, Scania and the Traton group must have a presence in one of the world’s biggest commercial vehicle markets: China.
Scania has decided to establish a third industrial hub in China with the capacity to produce some 50 000 vehicles per year. A project to develop and implement full-scale assembly operations has been initiated within Scania Production & Logistics. One part of this project is the establishment of a Final Assembly plant.
We are now looking for a Project Manager for Final Assembly to join the project team to put industrial processes and organization in place!
Your profile
• Bachelor´s degree with a focus on engineering or technical industry or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of project management and relevant 2-4 years of work experience in this area.
• Skills in Communication, Time Management, Problem-Solving, Leadership and Organisational Awareness are important.
• Good skills in both speaking and writing in English and skills in Office 365 and MS project are needed.
Furthermore, we see experience and knowledge within the following as merits:
Experience in Scania Final assembly factory, PPS, Project Office, Project Management, Agile methods, Product Knowledge (Chassi) and PD Process
Knowledge in LayCAD, LEAN/SPS, PEIP, PFMEA, PMP, is merit.

Your work assignments
As a Project manager, you will be responsible for:
• Delivering cross-functional solutions needed for Final Assembly within the IO Asia and AFRs
• Managing needs assessments and business cases
• Run a large project from start to finish
• Lead to work for successful collaboration within your team and against other project groups within Asia operations and AFRs.
• Involved in defining upcoming assignments as well as proactively implementing new ways of working
Work location
Work will be done from Södertälje and flexible work location may be applied to reflect competencies needed and deliveries in the project. Later on long-term assignment in our new P&L office in China, based on interest and business needs.
