Project Manager for AVEVA AB

AVEVA have a vacancy for a Project Manager in our Malmo office to ensure software development projects for Engineering and Design Systems are delivered to customers within budget, timescales and to the quality expected.

JOB PERPOSE
To facilitate the efficient and effective execution of Product Developments by managing the systems, resources, reporting, planning, and data required to execute them.

To promote continuous improvement, open communication and sustainable delivery to maximize the customer value of products created by the EDS development organizations.

The Product Group has more than 250 permanent and contract staff working on multiple simultaneous product development projects distributed across three UK sites, Malmo in Sweden and in Belgium, Germany and Poland. A specific focus of this role will be to interface with AVEVAs new Hyderabad Test and Development centre which is being aggressive ramped up.

DIMENSIONS
* The position has dimensions across all EDS Product Development Projects in all locations.
* Reports to Head of Operations, EDS and is member of EDS Operations Team.
* Occasional travel is required to locations across the world.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
The EDS Project manager responsible for:

* Project and Release - Planning and Execution:
- Contribute to planning and maintenance of the EDS release roadmap.
- Working with the development team, promote best practices and lean tools to facilitate the planning implementation any delivery of EDS Software products.
- Focus areas include the estimating process, clarity of scope, defect management, status communication.
- Manage Software life-cycle across development, outsource partners, Training and Product Support, System Test, Documentation and Quality

* Operational Metrics and Reporting:
- Evolve and use systems and processes to report Product Development progress, status and Risks/issues as required, including regular monthly project reporting and senior management summaries.
- Defining and collecting Product Development metrics as required to report, manage and improve development activities.
- Monitoring and reporting maintenance activities across all EDS product lines to ensure the correct allocation of resource to meet customer committed deliverables.

REQUIREMENTS
* 5 years or more experience in an Operational IT or Project Management role.
* Experience of off-shore development, especially in India.
* A clear and proactive communicator with strong interpersonal skills
* Able to chair large multi-site meetings, presentations, video & audio conferences
* Must be a diligent and focussed individual.
* Must possess strong planning, problem solving and facilitation skills.
* Experience of Agile methodologies such as Scrum, XP or RUP etc.
* The ability to manage multiple complex projects across multiple international locations involving teams in Europe and India.
* Financially aware with an understanding of budgetary control, costing and forecasting.

PREFERRED
* Experience of the development of software applications.
* A Project Management qualification, including Agile certifications such as Scrum Master.
* Microsoft Team Foundation Server
