Project Manager for HVDC Products

You will be part of HVDC within the Power Systems division in Ludvika. The HVDC technology has been on the market for the past 50 years and is used to transmit power over long distances with minimal losses, using overhead lines, underground and submarine cable systems. HVDC Products develop and deliver converter valves, control platforms and optical measurement equipment for HVDC and FACTS applications. As Project Manager you will get an exciting and important position, where you will meet new people and challenges on a regular basis. At our unit we ensure that projects are delivered on time, to the right cost and quality. We manage big projects that are part of ABB?s largest system deliveries. You will act as Project Manager for valve deliveries including cooling systems and optical measurement equipment. It will be your task to coordinate electrical and mechanical design, manage material supplies and production, in small and large projects. With us you will get a very varying job, where every day is different.

To apply you need a technical interest and relevant education. You hold a Bachelor´s degree with a major in Electrical Power or Electronics. Alternatively you are a technical college graduate with good work experience within the field. That you master the Office Package is a must. If you have additional computer skills in e.g. Prima Vera and SAP, this counts as an additional qualification. It is also positive if you have worked in technical project management, alternatively if you have completed leadership training. Since you will deal with both local and international contacts it is crucial that you write and speak both English and Swedish fluently. The position requires a systematic way of thinking, an inspiring personality and a holistic view. That you are organized is also important and since a large part of the work entails collaboration with others you will benefit from a social and collaborative inclination.
