Your future responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced project manager to own, drive and manage key change initiatives, to help the bank in continuing to build sustainable sanctions screening capabilities.
You would be taking a leading role in planning, executing, overseeing and bringing change initiatives to closure. Currently we are working on multiple initiatives aligned to the key Nordea priorities, where an increasing amount of our initiatives are coordinated within Agile SAFe framework while certain key change initiatives continue to be run in traditional Project Management mode. In all we provide passionate and skilled people to make the development possible.
What you’ll be doing:
* Converting customer and business needs into development activities together with the team that has been allocated to support in delivering a particular change initiative
* Leading the delivery of the change initiative including planning, execution at activity level, by providing an effective delivery framework and managing the relevant risks, issues and dependencies
* Overseeing the workload, capacity, skills and capacity management of the team that has been allocated to the change initiative
* Covering a broad set of organisational and leadership tasks, including but not limited to solution and delivery feasibility, business and IT impact analysis, risk management, business performance and benefits realisation
* Communicating internally up, down and across the Nordea organisation to ensure alignment with key internal stakeholders, and providing status updates to relevant stakeholder including senior management
* Securing effective involvement and collaboration between business and technology, and shaping the final deliverable and output with an end-to-end thinking in mind
* Managing compliance of the initiative with Nordea internal guidelines and local regulatory requirements
You will be based in Helsinki, Stockholm, Copenhagen or Tallinn.

Your profile and skills:
* You are a ‘self-starter’ who is able to independently manage complex, intricate and multi-faceted change delivery
* You are motivated and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines to high quality
* You are highly analytical and structured, as well good at planning a project or other change initiative
* You have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and you enjoy working with a team that is spread across multiple countries
* You are able to secure well-structured, organised and auditable delivery with elaborate and/or ambiguous inputs including process, technology and regulation
Your preferred background:
* Experience in Project Management, with formal certification in a project management methodology being expected
* Master’s degree or equivalent being preferred
* Experience in driving IT development activities, with strong IT background being preferred
* Experience in financial industry and, in particular financial crime prevention and sanctions screening being highly advantageous
* Experience in SAFe or Agile ways of working would be also advantageous as we are increasingly moving to Agile methodologies in our deliveries
* Excellent English language skills
