Project Manager Hard goods, POC Sports

Arbetsbeskrivning

POC, has been awarded more than 60 international safety, design and innovation awards and has built an international reputation for innovative thinking, product development and design. Founded in 2005 with a clear mission to protect lives and reduce the consequences for athletes or anyone inspired to be one, POC is driven to achieve its mission by creating products of unquestionable quality and relevance.

POC prides itself on taking ideas from concept to market, always pushing and testing the boundaries of innovation and technology.

We are now looking to strengthen our Hard Goods R&D team with a Project Manager. This is a full time position located in the Stockholm office.

Tasks
As a Project Manager for Hard Goods at POC, you will be involved in the development process of POC products. The role is a part of the Hard Goods team.

You will be surrounded by highly skilled colleagues with a solid track record of innovation and design at the highest international level, but humble enough to appreciate new ideas where your creativity and drive will have a clear impact on the team’s deliverables. The project manager will be leading development projects, from concept to mass production and coordinate activities between mechanical engineers, industrial designers, aerodynamic experts, suppliers of material and the producing factory.

The team is responsible for the entire process from idea to a finalized mass-produced item, so an understanding of the whole chain, from modern consumer behavior, via conceptualization, industrial design, design for manufacturing and production technology is needed. Since we work with many projects at any given point in time, it is important that you can prioritize time, resources, prepare accurate planning and manage whole projects.

You will have the opportunity (during non-pandemic circumstances) to travel in this role, mainly for production related visits, but also to visit trade shows a few times a year and visits to the US office.

Your profile
We believe that the person we are looking for is both practical and theoretical, but most of all a skilled project manager with a strong sense of on-time-delivery of projects and tasks.

As a person, we believe that you are positive, committed to what you do and a good communicator. We believe that a project manager, that also is a user, is a benefit so if you have an interest in alpine skiing, snowboarding, road/mountain biking it is a plus.

Qualifications
M.Sc. in Design, and/or Engineering with 1-2 years of experience. Experience in product development and good knowledge about the product development process. Written and spoken English.
