As a Project manager or site manager, they are responsible for ensuring that each project is completed safely, within an agreed timeframe and budget. Managing the practical side of every stage of the project, they will work closely with architects, surveyors and other building professionals in planning and delivery.
The PM will also supervise and direct a range of operations on a construction site and ensure that all tradespeople and contractors are working together to an agreed plan and that progress is being made. They may oversee the entire project, or on large scale complex projects they may form part of a management team.
Site Location: Skelleftea
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure company policies and procedures are implemented.
Encourage and implement site safety standards and practices.
Ensuring the site team is adhering to local compliance working hours.
Ensuring project paperwork and processes are being done and followed, site diary, weekly work plans & progress reporting.
Reporting regularly to senior Management
Determine plant, labour & material requirements.
Procurement activities such as requesting quotations for materials and works.
Reviewing planned and actual progress for design, procurement, installation, testing & commissioning
Provide support to the commercial director for valuations, commercial and contractual issues.
Communicating with stakeholders regarding project requirements and goals
Managing client relationships to ensure that they are informed of any issues preventing our contractual obligations on project delivery.
Assisting with recruitment when required
Build and maintain good working relationships with clients to ensure complete customer satisfaction and good prospects for future business.



EXPECTATIONS/QUALIFICATIONS
As a key point of contact on the project, the PM will need to manage competing demands from the client, the public and a range of other professionals. Their time will be split between working on site and working from an office.
In depth knowledge of construction health & safety procedures is essential. Must hold CSCS / SMSTS card or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years experience within the fire protection industry with relevant vocational training
Knowledge of national and local codes of practice.
Experience of 3D modelling and managing the design.
Positive attitude and confident in all aspects of managing a team.
Proven experience in managing construction projects, references required.
Good computer skills
