Project Manager – Life Science

Getinge Group is in an exciting and intensive period of change and we are now strengthening our project organization with a talented Project Manager – Life Science within our state of the art factory Getinge Sterilization. Our Life Science business targets the Biopharmaceutical, Biomedical Research and Laboratory markets. Our customers are, to a large extent, multinational corporations. It is becoming increasingly important to meet their needs globally, with a well-coordinated approach from our side. This role offers a great opportunity to be part of a successful organization with focus on driving and developing our Life Science projects to the next level. You will interface with a wide variety of key stakeholders, from R&D to end user.

The position

In this position you will have overall responsibility for the project management for Life Science customer projects including quality, cost and lead time. You will be involved in all aspects, from initial quotation right through to final handover. As project manager, you will also be the first point of contact for sales companies and end users to ensure project communications.

Your main responsibilities and tasks will be:

•Managing Life Science customer projects including budget and time lines
•Contribute to developing the organization, which involves internal activities
•Project monitoring, follow ups and reporting
•Internal and external communication
•Handling requests for quotations including review of user requirements and preparing quotations
•Create, review and approve applicable project documentation
•Define project risks and evaluate project result (cost, time and quality)
•Plan and run internal and external project meetings
•Plan and run customer visits including FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests)
•Participate in sales events
•Actively contribute to continuous improvements

The position is located at our manufacturing site in Getinge, Halmstad. Limited travelling is required. The position reports to the Head of Project Management.

The ideal candidate
Ideally for the position you have at least a couple of years of experience as a project manager and you are used to managing several projects concurrently. You have a sound engineering understanding and an academic degree within engineering, or similar, would be an advantage. It is also beneficial if you have knowledge within life science business and/or experience from customized capital equipment industry. Some knowledge of applicable standards, e.g. ISO 9001, GMP and GAMP 5 is also a merit. You are fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
You are business-oriented and driven with a true passion for improving business processes, driving profitability, working with customers and managing projects in a structured and efficient manner. You are a collaborative team-player who brings energy to the workplace. You have a structured personality and make sure actions are implemented. Being solution-oriented and open to changes are also important assets in order to succeed in this role.
