Global Project Manager for People & Culture

Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses, and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions. This means that People & Culture (P&C) and our ways of working need to transform as well, to both contribute to, and be a part of this evolution. P&C is evolving to prepare for future challenges – a transport industry presenting new technologies and new business models.

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to become a member of the newly set up Digitalization Team to lead Analysis, Design & Execution of the digital roadmap. This role will continue from the HRF which is a major Scania initiative, made up of multiple workstreams with 100+ resources working across the globe working with the HR transformation journey.

Our mission

The goal is to create a digital HR Roadmap aligned to the P&C strategy and the organization's overall business strategy. The problem statement, including the desired and current states, needs to be defined. A digital HR roadmap for 2023-2028 should be developed, focusing on maximizing existing platforms and identifying additional digital tools. A project plan, transformation plan, budget and desired team structure should be outlined. A business case and budget proposal should be created to demonstrate ROI and allocate resources for the HR digital roadmap execution.

As Global Project Manager for People & Culture


• Be a member of the People & Culture team working alongside with a strategic partner, reporting into the Global Head of HR, Digital Transformation.
• Create a HR Digital Roadmap with a detailed Project Plan with key milestones and activities
• Monitor and manage project activities, actions, risk and escalate as required.
• Manage budget/finance and follow up.
• Manage daily follow-up activities based on project management routines.
• Ensure smooth and precise communication to all stakeholders.
• Lead project activities and facilitate meetings.
• Thoroughly follow up decision, deadlines, and milestones.
• Independently investigate and drive open questions and actions.

Your profile

Our ideal candidate should be flexible, able to adapt to changing circumstances and work collaboratively with others to achieve common goals. You should have a keen eye for detail and be able to ensure that all tasks are completed accurately and to the highest possible standard. You should also be accountable, taking full ownership of your responsibilities and delivering results within the agreed timeframe. Furthermore, being a team player is essential, as you will need to work closely with colleagues from different departments to achieve common objectives. This includes being a good listener, contributing to discussions and demonstrating empathy towards others.

We want you to have the following skills/experience:


• Relevant work experience in project management in a large-scale global implementation preferably in the People and Culture/HR domain
• Experience in a HR Information System implementation or HR transformation in SAP Success Factor /Service Now – preferred
• Proven track record in managing a complex implementation in a global multinational organization.
• Experience in working in an agile project management environment.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
• Able to build and manage credible and productive working relationships with all levels of employees from senior management to blue collar workers.
• Proven experience in reporting to a senior Steering Committee or equivalent.
• Qualification or requisite experience in project leadership / program management.
