Do you have what it takes to enable the future of energy? Northvolt is looking for experienced Project Manager - New Product Introduction to join our Engineering team in Skellefteå.
In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in building one of the first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society.
The NPI team at Northvolt Ett is currently a team of a handful of people that will continue to grow and expand. Each NPI is responsible for one of our cell-types - following the cell's production throughout the production line. The purpose is to enable Industrialization and secure production readiness of the different new cells at our Gigafactory, Northvolt Ett.
You will be responsible for the successful planning and execution of various new cell product introduction projects locally in Northvolt Ett. The very cross functional role shall ensure that all the key disciplines involved for a given new product introduction project are fully aligned in product performance, quality, timing and cost.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Secure product readiness for scale production introduction in Northvolt Ett covering following main deliveries:
- BOM – Engineering and Manufacturing Bill of Material
- BOP - Bill of Process
- PDOE - Process Design of Experiments
- PFMEA - Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis
- Quality control plan
- Product validation plan
Measures and reports progress. Identifies and resolves bottlenecks, triggers and drives escalation.
Develops a toolbox to standardize the activity across different projects and feed it to Northvolt Ett governance.
Occasionally on a need basis interface the customer for project reviews and audits in alignment with support functions etc.
Contributes to build up a supportive culture of cooperation and teamwork within the project
Perform risk management activities and steer the implementation of actions, towards controlling and mitigating risks to keep project in line with targets.

Skills & Requirements
Education / Experience / Skills
MSc. degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Physics, Industrial Management or similar
Experience in introduction of complex products, ideally safety-critical rated
Multidisciplinary needs to understand the guiding principles of different disciplines such as: Product Design, Process Engineering, Engineering and Manufacturing Quality. Supply Chain, Supplier Quality, Production Control, …
Outstanding capability to manage large teams cross-functionally
Clarity and Structure: Need to report on a regular base and in a very succinct way the status of the project
Fluency in English.
Past experience in automotive industry
Knowledge of German is appreciated.
Past experience working with VDA – Automotive Quality Standard is a plus.
Ability to work well with others in a team environment, as well as independently
