Project Manager - New Video Products Department

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS Axis R & D organization is growing in a steady pace and is continuously looking for driven people who can contribute to our growth.At the moment we are looking for Project Managers with an educational background in engineering, preferably with a master degree in relevant subjects e.g.computer science/mechanical engineer or electrical engineering.The right candidates have an interest in product development and 3-5 years of experience from development projects.It is considered an extra plus if previous experiences involves a mix of electronics, software and mechanics.Having an interest for all steps of the product development cycle is also important: from refining ideas into requirements specifications to getting all the details in place for the final products.The role as Project Manager is collaborative and requires the ability to corporate with many people in and outside the organization.Apart from the above we believe the position requires a creative, driven and goal oriented individual with social skills enabling a good team spirit and good performance in the projects.THE NEW VIDEO PRODUCTS DEPARTMENT The department is responsible for the development of all new embedded network video products that Axis releases to the market.The teams within New Video Products consist of project managers and SW developers while electronics engineers and mechanical engineers are assigned from another department within Axis for each new product development project.JOB DESCRIPTION As Project Manager in the New Video Products unit you'll be driving projects on the cutting edge of network video technology.You will be responsible for managing new product development projects that includes both firmware, electronics and mechanical development from idea to final product.Your main tasks will be to: Work with product management to refine product idea Drive normal project management activities like planning, writing specifications and follow-up Actively look for solutions, including technical, and drive decision making Look for synergies and dependencies with/on other projects Dare to set tough/realistic schedules and inspire the team to succeed with it Fight for your project success Respect for tollgate deadlines and defined working models WHAT AXIS CAN DO FOR YOU This is a great opportunity to use and develop your management skills as part of an exciting, successful and rapidly growing organization that is already the world leader in network video.As Project Manager in Axis you will have a great chance for development in an organization that values creativity and promotes individual growth.We welcome your application and look forward to the possibility of you joining us!
