Project Manager PCD

Mission / Job description
We are looking for a motivated and result oriented person with a great analytical capability that can join the marketing department within the Rock Drilling tools division.
Your main responsibility as a project manager for PCD (polycrystalline diamond) will be to develop the total available market for PCD offering within mining and construction industry. You will analyze in which segments the product will add value by different criteria's and develop a clear holistic view of the total available market and of which customer segments that is to be prioritized from an added value perspective. Once the total available market and prioritizing is completed you will also define business models that can be used to approach the defined market with the given product.
Job description
To successfully reach the mission explained above you will work on a global basis and interact with many stakeholders. Internal stakeholders will be product managers in marketing, R&D, customer center representatives and cross-divisional with other marketing functions. You will also interact with our customers that is the end users of the product. Global traveling is a part of the role.
You will also gather, compile and analyze data by using global databases to understand the total available market. To understand the added value of the product you will work with value proposition models for different segments and customer profiles for the given product. To understand the business model you will review financial data of existing models, analyze new models by business canvas modeling and understand what impact a certain business model would have for the company.

Experience requirements
We are looking for a person with the following profile;
Experience of rock drilling and good product knowledge from mining and construction applications.
Good knowledge of the English language (verbally and in writing).
Power of initiative and a strong driving force.
Marketing / technical background.



Personality requirements:
Strong analytical and communication skills as you will communicate with many stakeholders and analyze a global demand consisting of a lot of different type of data.
Customer oriented attitude – what is the added value for the customer.
Energetic and result oriented.
Willingness to travel on a frequent basis.



Country and city description
Flexible, preferably in Sweden (Fagersta).

Additional information
The role is under defined time period (2 years from appointment) with a possible extension into a Global Product Manager role within the marketing organization.
