Annonsmanus / Advertisement manuscript Project Manager R & D projects Work description The technical staff within department Engineering is responsible for technical reviews in order to assure that product-, customer-, airworthiness-requirements and objectives for effectiveness and quality are met for all products that has been and will be developed by Saab Aerostructures.Chief engineers for all projects and programs are therefore organized in the technical staff.The staff is also responsible for resource and competence within project management of large R&D projects. There is now a need to increase the group with another employee that will work with project management of large R&D projects. The position means mainly work as project manager in our research projects but also other duties within the technical staff is possible. At present and during the next couple of years the position means working as project manager for ongoing and/or planned European research projects in collaboration with European air transport industries, research institutes and universities.These projects are of strategic importance for Saab Aerostructures. Qualifications As project leader focusing on objectives, collaboration ability and organization skills are important properties. As the main part of our work is in cooperation with external customers and partners, very good knowledge in English (verbal and writing) is a requirement for this job. Earlier experience of management and/or participating in European research projects is considered as a merit. Since a lot of the aircraft structure developed today is built in carbon fiber composites, knowledge in this area is also considered as a merit. The project leadership means a lot of traveling, both international and domestic. We are primarily looking for an engineer with a Master of Science or higher technical diploma in mechanical engineering, with some years of experience from the industry and with a strong wish for personal development.
