We open around 100 stores every year. Our experts in Rental and Energy Management, Store Construction, Planning, Facility Management and Commercial Management ensure that our stores and all other business premises, warehouses and offices are professionally converted, maintained and managed. About the job
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for our new construction and renovation projects. You will ensure that the projects are on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards. You will have close contact with our Expansion Manager and our Area Facility Manager and you will report directly to New Yorker's Management in Germany.
Excellent written and spoken German and English skills and the willingness to travel is a must to thrive in this job.
About the role
• Management of challenging projects in the area of store construction including coordination and supervision of construction work in the Scandinavian countries
• Develop detailed project plans. Coordinate all aspects of the projects, including resources, timelines, contractors and suppliers. Manage communication and negotiations with all parties involved
• Evaluation of rental agreements from a structural perspective
• Calculation of construction services
• Manage and be responsible for project budgets and financial reporting. Ensure that all projects are according to quantitative and qualitative specifications
• Monitor and ensure that all project tasks meet applicable quality standards and regulations. Conduct regular quality reviews and make adjustments as necessary
• Obtaining official approvals
• Manage and interpret risks and issues across the projects
• Handover of construction projects to Maintenance and Sales
About you
• Strong knowledge of project management principles and practices
• Completed studies (Bachelor) in the field of construction management, architecture, engineering or comparable fields
• Ability to work effectively on multiple, concurrent or competing projects
• In-depth knowledge of building contract law and building regulations law
• Financial awareness and budget management experience
• Project and time management skills
• Sound knowledge of construction management, ideally in the area of branch construction
• Leadership skills, strong communication skills and hands-on mentality
• Unrestricted willingness to travel
• Excellent written and spoken German and English skills
