HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) is a product group in Hitachi Energy, which develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. It is also used to connect power systems.
The HVDC market for large scale transmission and offshore wind is booming as an enabler for the global energy transitions. All these projects are classified as very critical infrastructures and hence cyber security requirements and standard compliance is very high.

This role is responsible to lead the procurement and logistics activities in HVDC Project and Tender (Proposal). In this role, you will monitor and lead the supply chain activities to ensure that the equipment is procured, produced, and delivered on budget and according to schedule to our project sites worldwide.

Your responsibilities
You will be Project Manager for the Procurement and Logistic scope in HVDC Tender and Projects.
In this role you will monitor and lead the supply and logistic teams to ensure that the equipment is procured, produced, and delivered on budget and according to schedule to our project sites worldwide.
You will work individually and be responsible for SCM in the Project, reporting directly to project director as well as line manager.
You will be part of the HVDC Project Core team for the projects you manage.
You will have a key role interacting with HVDC stakeholders in tender and project execution.
You will be the SCM lead in the HVDC tender work.
Your background
You might have a master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administration. This can be balanced by a relevant experience.
Preferably you have a few years of relevant working experience so that you feel comfortable in leading a team, taking decisions, questioning and take full responsibility for outcome of the work in your project by the SCM organization.
You are a team player with strong communicative and collaborative skills, and you are comfortable with thinking outside of the box.
We would like to see that you are energetic, endurant, autonomous, independent and stress resilient. You are open to changes, value integrity, get things done in a timely manner, and always drive for efficiency.
You should be comfortable in expressing yourself, written and spoken, in English.
