Technical Training within Volvo Trucks Service Market and Retail Operations is now recruiting.
We are looking to hire an operational project manager of technical trainings. Our mission is to develop and deliver easily accessible technical trainings for workshop technicians.
Volvo Trucks is constantly developing new truck features, components, systems and services. The ambition at Technical Training is that workshop customers always will be served by competent technicians. You will be responsible for leading the execution of technical training solutions with the overall target to improve technical workshop competence. What we care most about is customer satisfaction, flexibility and speed to market.


Who are we?
Our team creates technical training solutions that make learning easy for workshop technicians. We are learning culture ambassadors who provide learning solutions for business growth and sustainable progress. We also have a world wide network of technical trainers to reach the technicians in a classroom environment – the Train the Trainer concept. The skills of the workshop technicians are vital for vehicle uptime and therefore of utmost importance to our customers.
Many of or trainings are applicable for technicians working with both Volvo Trucks and Renault Trucks. Therefore, we cooperate closely to our sister organisation at Renault Trucks in Lyon. Other partners are:
Sales Areas and Volvo markets
VT Product Management and other functions within our Regional Value Chain
GTT functions and Volvo Group University.

We also exchange on experiences with other Truck Divisions and Business Areas within Volvo Group for continuous improvement.


Your main responsibilities
As Project Manager at Technical Training, you will:
Work cross functions and lead technical training projects with members from the technical training team
Represent Technical Training in Competence Development Project teams
Plan projects, map out timelines and execute each phase of the project together with your colleagues and with support from the tailor-made Training Material Development Process, TMDP
Lead and arrange workshops and reference group meetings with members from different markets
Prepare for and participate in steering group meetings
Based on project needs as well as your personal interests and skills, you will also take on operational tasks to drive project progress as well as occasionally deliver trainings in classroom environment and online
Contribute to the development of new learning methods and tools and take active part in the development of the TMDP
Be part of a competent team of technical expertise and build relations with a global trainer network

Qualifications
University degree within relevant field
Proven project management skills and dedication to meet project deadlines
Problem solving and risk management skills
Leadership and teamwork skills
Technical skills as technology is constantly changing and evolving
English communication skills
You have a genuine interest in, and a good understanding of trucks, truck systems and components and what technicians need to understand about new systems and technology
Workshop experience is a plus
Technical knowledge within one or more of the following areas are meriting
Diagnostics
Electromobility
Engine
Transmission
