Project Manager Test Tool Design

Our customers mission is to help their customers sell more phones.They offer a complete platform portfolio across 2, 5 and 3G to manufacturers of mobile phones and other wireless devices.The technology is based on a global standardization leadership and the world's strongest IPR (intellectual property rights) portfolio.You will belong to a unit that is a part of the Access SW Test department, which is responsible for development test and internal type approval of the UMTS protocol stack in the platforms.As a project manager within Access SW Test you must have the ability to take a leading position and motivate and develop a small project team.Job description The position demands an ability to work independently, explain problems and issues in a clear and logical way to other project members and managers and at the same time motivating colleges, developing and taking your projects forward according to the company's over helming goals.As a technical project manager within test tool design at Access SW Test you will work with development of tools for UMTS testing.You will be responsible for a small team working with design and maintenance of internally developed tools, having technical contacts with test equipment vendors, and providing internal test tools supporting the test engineers.You and your team will take part in providing test facilities for new UMTS features, and will work in an early phase, evaluating test equipment and designing test tools, to ensure the best possible test solution for our projects.Our test environments are Windows based, and most of the test tools are developed internally in C/C++ and various script languages.The work is done in close cooperation with test engineers and software designers.The work requires knowledge of UMTS signalling protocols, which is the foundation for the testing performed within the department, as well as the ability to motivate colleagues and taking projects forward according to pre set goals.Since many of the projects within the department are done in close collaboration with customers and operators you will work in an international environment that requires that you are confident using English verbally as well as writing.Your background Formal education needed is M.Sc.in Computer Science, Physics or Electrical Engineering or equivalent educational background.Additional to this we think that you have a few, preferable five years of work experience within a relevant field.If you have one or more of the below requested competences this will be further qualifying and make you even more interesting to us: - Experience of software tools development and test - Experience in C, C++, Python or similar in Win32 environment - Excellent programming skills - Excellent analytical skills - Excellent English skills - Ability to motivate and lead small project teams - Well organizes and structured How to apply In this process we cooperate with Academic Search.You apply to the position by clicking on the link bellow which will take you to a application form where you attach your CV and personal letter.
