Leica Geosystems Technology, situated in Stockholm (Huddinge), is a part of the Machine Control Division and has a strong reputation for developing high quality products, mainly for the construction industry. Leica Geosystems Technology in Stockholm is one of four development locations for our Construction business and is focused on implementing the latest technology for our machine control product range in order to increase efficiency and productivity for our customers.

We are now looking for a

Project Manager to lead Stockholm based Software Development Projects

Leica Geosystems Technology AB is looking for a competent Project Manager to manage software development projects at our R&D operation in Huddinge, Sweden. You will lead project teams primarily comprising representatives from product management, research and development, through the entire life cycle of a project: From inception until we have sellable products on the shelves.



Typically team members work together from several locations around the world, and you are challenged with the important and difficult task to facilitate this remote collaboration. Proper management and strong leadership skills are your primary tools, but given the current size and level of maturity of our organization you are expected to get your hands dirty with the details of the work going on from time to time; Your opinion matters and your vast knowledge and experience put you in a central position to ensure progress and quality of the work being done.

Work experience and qualifications:

. At least 5 years' of project management experience in a similar role; working on software development projects in a remote setup.
. Experience working in accordance with a well-defined and well managed processes is mandatory
. Ability to facilitate software development using agile methods - we are using Scrum based methods but experience with additional methods will serve to your advantage.
. To understand the process and challenges of development you should have some personal experience with software development
. A relevant university degree (engineering, technology or science) or other proven, relevant and equivalent experience
. Excellent verbal and written communication skills - fluency in English is a prerequisite but Swedish and other languages are highly regarded
. Formal project management certification (preferably IPMA-C) will also be highly regarded
