Project manager to Purchasing Business Development

Project manager to Purchasing Business Development

Arbetsbeskrivning

Do you want to drive the business transformation within Purchasing and develop the future ways of working? We are looking for someone that wants to be a part of a creative and strong management team, and together with our organisation develop and prepare Scania Purchasing for the future.

Who are we looking for?
You have probably worked within one of the Traton Purchasing organisations and built a solid competence within strategic purchasing, and have the ambition to develop as a leader, a project manager, or a specialist within the complexity of the Traton organisation. Or maybe you have a solid background as a project and change manager from one of the Traton companies, another global company, or a consultant firm?

We don’t know. But what we do know is that we need to strengthen our management team with a dedicated project manager who understands the details and the complexity of the Traton purchasing landscape, dares to think differently, and approaches challenges with a strategic mindset.

We want you to have good knowledge of Purchasing processes and systems, you have probably been involved in many improvement initiatives or common projects within Traton, or you have a solid experience in change management eg. consulting, or project management. You have experience of, and like to work cross-functionally and within cross-brand collaboration.

As a big part of the role is to create structure and clarity to not yet defined problems and challenges, you need to be eager to make an impact, have a dare-to-try approach to the tasks you are given as well as dare to challenge the current state and find the best solutions for the future.

You have a university degree and you are fluent in English since this is our common company language.

What would be your tasks?

As a part of the management team, you will be part of developing your own areas of responsibility, lead initiatives where members from different groups within Business development are involved, and be the voice of purchasing in cross-functional discussions to state purchasing requirements as well as understand how our work is impacting others. A lot of the initiatives are connected to ensure that purchasing can be part of enabling TMS for all brands and in the E2E flow.

Who are we and what do we do?
Our management team consists of 6 groups with a wide responsibility to ensure the development of new processes, methods, tools, and systems for Purchasing. To make all of this happen we are right now developing our new Purchasing System Landscape to make all our processes scalable, as well as transforming our purchasing core processes where this team plays an important role in setting the future way of working for Purchasing.
