Project manager to Valmet

Are you looking for an opportunity with excellent possibilities for development within project management?
We are now looking for a Project Manager to our Energy, Recovery and Environmental Service team in Gothenburg.
Our main focus are upgrades and services of power and recovery boilers. We are also working with evaporation plants, lime kilns and flue gas cleaning. The project values are normally between 0,2 and 5 MEUR and projects are typically executed within 6-12 months. Our services help our clients shape a more sustainable world.
Besides executing projects, we are also responsible for long term service agreements for selected clients. Agreements typically includes process evaluations of the plant and yearly inspections.
As Project Manager you also support the sales team during the sales phase in projects. Reviewing project budget, proposed contract and participate in customer meetings are included in the role.
As our new Project Manager you are leading and executing smaller projects independently. You are also expected to take responsibility for your own long term service agreements. Furthermore, in our larger multi-disciplinary projects you will support responsible senior project manager with technical coordination of engineering activities, purchases etc.
We have clients all over the world and the work involves cooperation with our Project Execution teams globally. Shorter travels to customer sites, mainly in Sweden and Europe, is also expected from you.
Who are you?
To enjoy and be successful as our new Project Manager, we think you are in the beginning of your career towards becoming an experienced project manager. You have already a couple of years working experience and has either worked as a Project Manager already or you have experience from working in a project driven organization as part of the project team. Experience from rebuild projects within pulp, power or process industry is highly valued. As a person you have strong communication skills and you are flexible and solution orientated. You take own initiatives to find solutions and find the information you need.
We see that you have a Master/Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent. Of course, you are fluent in both Swedish and English and are used to the different MS Office tools to handle the administration and documentation in your daily work.
We offer
As project manager at Valmet you have the opportunity to execute complex projects together with a very qualified project team. The projects have relatively short execution time and within a year you have most often taken the project from the engineering phase to finalized installation at the client. This is very rewarding with the position, but also means you need to react swiftly to find solutions and make decisions on possible challenges during the project.
Within our long term service agreements you are building long-term relationships with your client, to support and develop the operation of their plant.
We offer a chance to develop yourself into the role as project manager. At Valmet there are great possibilities to take on more responsibility and larger projects over time.
Today we are located at Lindholmen but will from January 2024 relocate to a new office close to Gothenburg main station. This will provide excellent possibilities for communication both with public transport and car. We also house our own workshop in Torslanda. Approximately 270 people are working within the Gothenburg organization.
