Project Manager (Tunneling)

About This Role:

Responsible for relationship with the client. Protect and support the organization regards to additional requirements to the contractor that the client wishes. Assume the responsibilities as assigned to this role in the Contract with the Client. Inspire and motivate project organization and mitigate in conflicts but also correct and discipline unwanted behaviors. Be the company’s speaker for this project.

You will handle and be responsible for preparing and supplying Project Director with necessary documents and information.

You will be a part of the core project management team.

Responsibilities:

Below are examples of core areas but not limit to the role.

- Represent company, externally both to local authorities/community and client.
- Prepare and participate in construction meetings, notification meetings, economy meetings, and meetings with the representatives support the Project Director.
- Lead the project team to comply to the contract.
- Lead the HSE Team, and make sure the contractor’s activities comply with the contact requirements.
- Lead and analyze critical activities/bottle necks together with the productions manager and prepare plans/instructions for develop/improve the production and productivity.
- Lead and support time planning and follow up. Prepare explanations and visualization of time impacted consequences compared to the contract time schedule.
- Contract analysis, monitor and analyze contractual changes and lead actions.
- Support the work with forecast to completion, so all circumstances known today would be take in consideration and evaluated.
- Monitor construction activities and evaluate progress of all projects and monitor all requests and participate in various construction progress meetings and lead the work of records for all construction procedures.
- Organize and plan project related meetings for the project team.
- In charge of argumentations towards the client in changes of scope of contract. Change orders, Bigger claims, changes in BOQ and time effects, but also responsible to explain such events in necessary extent or on request from headquarter together with Project Manager.
- Attendance the meeting together with Project Manager to the Client and other stakeholders;
- Instruct, and cooperate with the project engineers to handle documentations and administration issues.
- Be a part of the tender team for future projects.
- In charge of Project Communication together with the Communication Manager.
- Client Relation, build trust
- Take care of employee, Manage and support Recruitment with HR, HSE
- Take the lead in management of key suppliers and subcontractors.

Requirements:

- Strong insights of the construction business and civil engineering as well as in-depth knowledge of how Project work in Europe.

- Self-going, problem-solving and innovative personality.

- Wants to lead others through being empathic, take care of and explain expectations, but also support with education, tools and time for the employees to fulfill its tasks.

- Strong communication and organizational skills and interact with the construction project team to inspire them.

- Driving license.
