As a project manager at Scania Project Office, you will have a key role in driving the shift towards sustainable transport systems. You will join a team of highly professional colleagues at Scania Project Office. The Scania Project Office deals with Scania's major cross-functional development projects, from concept to the industrialization of complete trucks, buses, and engines. Mature developed processes are used but we´re in a transformation and going towards an environment where agile and conventional development methods co-exist.
Your daily work
Every day at work you will influence Scania’s future by your servant leadership, coaching your team, colleagues, and managers towards Scania’s Vision.
As a project manager you steer the project work, ensure that necessary decisions are taken, and manage technical and commercial issues for global projects. Examples of activities include coordinating planning, managing and mitigating risk, and leading project meetings. The work is done in close collaboration with skilled colleagues from different areas of Scania and you will collaborate with other qualified colleagues at Scania Project Office.
We are currently transforming how Scania develops solutions for our customers, and we are introducing agile methods. At Scania Project Office you will be a part of that transformation, and you are expected to actively contribute to evolving our way of working.
Your profile
You have excellent leadership skills and you are passionate about building successful and committed teams. You also have the skill of understanding and communicating the context while simultaneously learning through the details.
You have a relevant education from the university. Experience from Scania’s product development process is a merit as well as several years of experience in project management. Alternatively, you have several years of experience as a line manager within Scania.
As a person, you are engaged and structured. You have your team's well-being and performance in focus and you work as a servant leader to fill the gaps needed for delivering value to our customers. With your eminent communication skills, you can easily interact with different persons in different positions within the company. You need to be comfortable with presenting and facilitating larger groups in English (written and orally).
