Job description
World Water Week 2023, to take place on August 20-24, 2023, on-site in Stockholm and online. World Water Week 2023 is focused on innovation at a time of unprecedented challenges. The theme Seeds of Change: Innovative Solutions for a Water-Wise World invites us to rethink how we manage water. The Accelerator programs are co-produced with our lead partners and will take place leading up to and during World Water Week.
The project manager will lead the 2023 Accelerator program framework and implementation.
The intended period of contract is February – December 31, 2023, with a possibility to extend the assignment based on Lead Partner funding.
Project Manager, World Water Week Accelerator Program Key responsibilities:
Reporting to World Water Week Head of Partnerships, lead the 2023 Accelerator program framework and implementation.
Assign and supervise work of Project Support as needed.
Business Accelerator
Concept Development
Map out the framework and define the Business Accelerator strategy for 2023, including defining component-specific goals and KPIs, project milestones and deliverables, and solidifying reporting requirements.
Program Execution and Reporting
Ensure the successful implementation the 2023 program (Centre Stage and by-invitation programs), with inputs and/or deliverables from other colleagues and/or consultants as relevant.
Liaise with partners and key stakeholders (internal and external).
Contribute to strategic and, where relevant, operational alignment across Accelerators (Centre Stage specifically) and the broader WWW platform (messaging).
Project management and administration, including cost tracking, documentation etc.
Project evaluation and reporting.
Additional support as needed.
Communication Accelerator
Program Execution and Reporting
Based on existing 2023 Communication Accelerator program framework, ensure the successful implementation the 2023 program (online workshops and conference Centre Stage programs), with inputs and/or deliverables from other colleagues and/or consultants as relevant.
Liaise with partners and key stakeholders (internal and external).
Contribute to strategic and, where relevant, operational alignment across Accelerators (Centre Stage specifically) and the broader WWW platform (messaging).
Project management and administration, including cost tracking, documentation etc.
Project evaluation and reporting.
Additional support as needed.
Your profile
The right candidate has experience and feels comfortable in the areas below: Be an experienced project manager
Have extensive knowledge in the field of global journalism and communications
Have demonstrated experience with similar project execution
Have knowledge of water (meritorious)
Be fluent in written and spoken English
