What do we offer?
Volvo Cars is in the process of developing and industrializing the future propulsion systems based on battery and electric machines. Manufacturing Engineering - eMachines, is a section within Manufacturing Engineering within Volvo Cars. We develop and implement quality assured, flexible and effective production systems in Volvo Cars Propulsion Components production sites. The section is working cross functionally and project oriented, supporting all Volvo Car Group´s Propulsion Components Production Plants and car programs locally and globally. Within the team Local Line & Equipment in Skövde, we are now looking for a new member working as a Project Manager/Equipment Engineer.

What you’ll do
As our next Project Manager/Equipment Engineer, you will lead the total manufacturing solution supporting our Lean Principles and following Volvo Cars Manufacturing System. The right candidate will, with good business understanding, be responsible to secure all program aspects within own area, such as layout, best process, finance follow up, material handling, flows, etc. The position requires some travelling.
You will:
- Manage implementation Product Projects, Running Changes and Capacity Increase Requests.
- Responsible for leading and coordinating the total process scope (from floor to roof that is required for process installation).
- Secure process implementation/changes together with Productivity Engineer, Logistic, IT, Product and Process Engineering, Maintenance and Facility Management.
- Create competitive advantage by deep and relevant knowledge within key areas for electric machines production.
What you’ll bring
Have at least B.Sc. in Engineering or by us evaluated equivalent competence gained by experience from project management. Also have experience from implementation of production lines and equipment. 6 Sigma competence is also beneficial. We believe you have great communication skills in English and Swedish, both spoken and written, and you collaborate well with others. We also think you are a structured person who plans and has documentation skills. Motivated, result oriented, creative and positive attitude are personal qualities we value.
