Project Manager/General Director support

Project Manager/General Director support

Arbetsbeskrivning

Do you want to work in an independent project management role with a broad variation of projects, close to the General Director (GD) of Médecins Sans Frontières Sweden (MSF)? You will be our General Director’s right hand, partly and mainly by leading projects for MSF Sweden, but also by supporting our General Director. The division between the tasks may vary over time.

Main responsibilities

- Project management for various projects in MSF Sweden
- Ensure a clear and structured internal communication within the MSF Sweden office in relation to your projects and GD support responsibilities
- GD’s support and responsibilities (as decision making and representing MSF by pro-active networking)
- GD support and project management on Diversity, Equity and inclusion (DEI)

The first period of the contract will mainly be focused on a DEI project (Diversity, equity, and inclusion) with coordinating, implementation, and monitoring of MSF Sweden’s DEI activities. This includes a responsibility to lead and drive DEI developments by working cross-functionally within the section and in coherence with the processes and policies for MSF Sweden staff. Other projects can be for example strategy roll-out, monitoring and follow-up on strategy implementation. The General director will be your line manager.

We are looking for you with

- Project management experience or certification, or a strong project management approach from previous work
- A solid understanding of how people go through organizational projects and processes
- The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in a global organization
- The ability to influence and guide others and move towards a common vision or goal
- A strong sense of planning and organizing, both your own and others work
- Advanced level of written and spoken English

To be successful in this role you should be an independent project manager with integrity and exceptional communications skills in order to communicate and reach people on different levels within the organization, both managers and employees. Because of the variation of projects that you might not be an expert in, you should have the ability to learn quickly and hit the ground running. Other skills we see as important are flexibility, analytical thinking and problem solving.

It’s valuable if you have

- People management/leadership experience
- Experience of working with DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion)
- Language skills such as Swedish or French
