Role Description
Logistic Preparation & Projects within Group Truck Operations E&B Manufacturing Tuve Plant is looking for a Project Material Controller to become a part of our team.
The department includes material controllers, packaging engineers and logistic preparation engineers, collaborating closely to secure that we perform project builds and introduce product updates in a world class manner. Now we are looking for you, a creative and communicative material controller who would like to take part of modernizing our products.
You as a material controller are responsible for securing the availability of project related parts from the suppliers. You will lead and navigate our suppliers to be a top Volvo supplier in the new features and designs of the trucks.


Main responsibilities
Secure the logistic setup between supplier and plant
Participate in cross functional preparation meeting with suppliers in front of a new project
Collaborate in planning & procurement meetings with GTT and GTP organization
Actively secure material from suppliers to point of use
Daily communication with suppliers around the world
Introduce suppliers and follow-up new product intro related parts
Prepare suppliers for deliveries to serial production
Network and cooperate with corresponding functions in the other plants and other Volvo Group business areas
Supplier performance analysis and actions
Actively follow supplier escalation process

What we are looking for
A proactive and positive person that enjoys working and driving communication in cross functional teams. You are thorough and take great responsibility for your work tasks and collaborate effectively with internal and external parties. You can lead and instruct other people, have a holistic view and keep a good structure during tight time frames.


Qualifications
Fluent Swedish & English in speech and writing
Good skills in MS Office
University degree in logistics, engineering or equivalent knowledge gathered through work experience
Experience from logistics, manufacturing or other experience that could strengthen our team and department
Skills in GILM, MACS, OIC and GPS are an advantage
Previous experience working with suppliers is preferable
Good communication and organizational skills
To be stress resistant and take fast decisions
Comfortable working cross functional with internal and external stakeholders and take a leading role in meetings
Knowledge and/or interest in data analysis and reporting technologies is advantageous
