About the position
Perido is looking for a communication officer to our client, an independent and important agency of the European Union. The mission of this agency is to strengthen Europe’s defences against infectious diseases and identify, assess and communicate current and emerging threats to human health posed by infectious diseases. The position is placed at their office nicely located just outside of Stockholm city.
Your daily tasks
Work plan related tasks (support drafting of the annual work plans for the section, support the Head of Section with monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of the annual work plan, regular updates on the status, support coordination in relation to the workplan and its outputs);
Liaison with stakeholders (support management with the network activities, such as communication with external networks and meeting organisation. Support the communication with focal points in the member states. Support the section in liaison with stakeholders and partner organisations, such as the European Commission, EU agencies and the WHO);
Administrative support (support the management with the overall coordination of the section, support the coordination of procurement, contracts and consultants, as well as meetings);
Communication (act as focal point for liaison with internal section, e.g. communication team. Support content-development and maintenance of the web pages of the section. Contribute to all aspects of external communication on topics covered by the section).
Perform any other task assigned by the supervisor
Your qualifications
In order to be successful in this role, you have a high level of responsibility and an ability to take initiative. You communicate efficiently at all levels internally and externally, in an appropriate manner and offer a high level of service orientation. Furthermore, you can work under pressure and organize and prioritize your work accordingly. Lastly, you are a great teamplayer and know how to handle confidential information with discretion.

Requirements
Education at university level or relevant post-secondary education and relevant professional experience
Proven professional experience as an administrative and/or project officer, preferably in a multicultural working environment
Some knowledge or understanding in the area of the section’s work (ARHAI, EFVED)
Excellent skills in managing documentation, preparing correspondence and other documentation
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Contract type and hours
Fulltime. Start ASAP, until end of May with possible extension.
