This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-growth company with a unique business model in a workplace where you can truly make a difference. Better Energy is a leading, integrated solar energy provider with 500+ employees and counting. We are currently looking for a Business Developer / Project Originator to join the Swedish team and fully establish our presence in the Northern areas of Sweden (e.g. Boden, Luleå, Skellefteå). Our Swedish headquarters are in Malmö where ca 20 co-workers are located, and 5 colleagues are spread across Sweden from Hudiksvall to Karlskrona.

You will be part of our Project Origination team in Sweden. The team is responsible for the initial business and project development of land based solar parks in Sweden. We work closely with our international colleagues and not least with our technical experts in Denmark.
Our top priority is to identify the most suitable land for large scale solar parks in Sweden and create a long-term relationship with the landowners, the local community and large buyers of electricity. We see you as having an important role in this mission.
How you will make a difference in Better Energy
You have a responsibility to ensure access to land and partners for the development of ground-based solar parks, and to build strong relationships with authorities, the community and environmental organizations. You should have an eye for business and a strong willingness to contribute to the green transition in the long term.
Focus is on the commercial analysis and creating strong relationships with several stakeholders in the process; negotiation with landowners, dialogue with authorities, coordination with project partners and consultants, and internal cooperation within the Better Energy Group to get the maximum power out of our internal expertise.
Our organisation is characterised by easy and quick ways of communication, giving you a basis for influencing how you solve your tasks to the best of your abilities.
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
Identify and evaluate new land areas for solar parks via strategic analysis, networking, etc.
Negotiate land lease deals in Sweden (Arrendeavtal)
Contribute to the commercial evaluation
Stakeholder management — e.g., handle dialogue with landowners and neighboring properties and municipalities
Assisting the permit process
Present and promote Better Energy in a larger context
Be part of the public debate on solar energy

So, who are we looking for?
You should have a lot of energy and experience working on projects and environments that are constantly changing. You should be self-motivated and take your own initiative to solve any problems. You should have good experience of communicating with many stakeholders in parallel, and this is done in both Swedish and English.
We would like you to:
Have the ability to listen!
Love customer contact; be social, responsive, and communicative.
Have experience in presenting and selling ideas.
Get motivated by challenges and achieving results.
Have knowledge and experience in land and environmental issues or the energy industry.
Be self-motivated and able to take the initiative.
Have strong business acumen and a willingness to take responsibility.
Be able to travel for work (approximately 5-10 days per month).
Have a valid driver's license.
Be fluent in Swedish and English (required).
Have patience! It takes a long time to develop large-scale solar parks.
