The electrification of cars, trucks and busses is one of the most extensive and disruptive industry transformations ever. Northvolt leads this change and aims to become the leading battery partner for the European automotive industry and set new benchmarks for sustainability and CO2 footprint.
As Project Planner, you will set-up, align and track the project timeline across all customer battery cell projects. The integrated timeline is based on Northvolt`s generic master timeline and contains major activities for cell development, process, industrialization, purchasing, manufacturing, logistics and quality. You will work closely with each project manager and the project team members to identify bottlenecks and find solutions to reach key project milestones.
As Project Planner, your main responsibilities include keeping track of the key activities and milestones from project start until start of battery production, as well as understanding how these are interlinked. You will be responsible for the monthly milestone review meeting and will follow-up with actions to ensure progress.
Ideally, you have gathered first experience in the automotive, portable or other technology driven industry having worked in a product development or industrialization role. You have a good understanding of product creation process and sample phase definition. You like to work with colleagues with various backgrounds and nationality. You have an eye for details, while at the same time keeping the larger picture in sight. You are solutions driven and manage to keep an overview when things get hectic in projects.
You will be part of the Automotive and Foundry team and will work with all battery cell projects. You will work closely with cell development, process, industrialization, quality and logistics. You will have a senior project manager as a mentor to grow your skills and develop yourself as a person. The role reports to the Project Management Office manager within the Customer Programs team.
You will be based in Västerås, Sweden,1 hour west of Stockholm. Company arranged comuting is available.

Education/Experience
Degree in engineering, physics, chemistry, business or related
First experience from product development or industrialization role in a technology company
Ability to work well with both technical teams as well as operations, quality and purchasing
Familiarity with Automotive Development Processes / APQP process is an advantage
Knowledge of battery industry is an advantage
Startup and growth company experience is an advantage

Specific Skills/Abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially in PowerPoint and MS Project
Experience in time planning and project execution
Excellent English written and oral communication skills in both technical and business environments.
Ability to work well with others in a team environment, as well as independently
Thrive working within tight deadlines and excellent at time management
Have plenty of grit, a can-do attitude, an entrepreneurial spirit, a great eye for quality, a sense of humor and a curious mind
