The department Program Management is a team within Vehicle Engineering (VE) that include Vehicle Integration, Verification/Validation, Test objects and Assignment management. You will be part of the Program Management & Vehicle Integration group. The group manage Vehicle Engineering in the Requirement-setting, Analysis and Verification Processes for vehicle/platform projects at R&D. We follow, balance and summaries the Complete Vehicle attributes and systems against target fulfilment as well as record the current situation and prognosis against start of production.

Project Planner is a new created role were you will support the Program Manager in the VE, coordinate, plan and control the time plan so that it matches the project plan. Your responsibility will be to drive and manage the planning activities from startup phase to the end of the project. We see that you have experience from project planning in product development project, preferably from the automotive industry.

Main responsibilities

* Develop and maintain planning format for VE-plans
* Deploy and maintain different plans needed to full fill VE's task in the car projects
* Support VE Program Managers and their team, with planning input
* Represent VE in different planning forums and issues for project plans
* Perform Timing workshops
* Identifying the critical path and building alternative scenarios
* Identify risk related to Main Time Plan and success criteria's
* Synchronization of time plans with related projects
* Developing short-term time plans to meet project milestones, crucial project activities, etc

Required qualifications

* Bachelor engineering degree
* Knowledge from the Product Development Process
* Fluent in English, written and spoken
* MS Office. Preferably MS Project experience
* Driving license
* Knowledge of attribute, function development and verification is meritorious
* Good knowledge of Volvo products and -trademark is meritorious
