In this role you are going to perform Project Planning in Primavera for R&D Development projects managed by RCS Engineering Product Families. The work focuses on improving estimates and robustness of plans, leading to on-time delivery of the projects. You will support with improving Resource Management and Capacity Planning as the next level in the RCS Primavera implementation.
The Project Planner is responsible for guiding the Project Core Team in the management of all planning, scheduling and progress control related aspects of the project in accordance with the Planning & Scheduling Process.
You will provide the knowledge and the tools to plan the project scope of work and all related deliverables during project launch. This includes application of the generic WBS and using it as a cost and progress management tool throughout the project.
Responsibilities:
Planning/Scheduling
The Project Planner establishes and updates the Detailed Project Schedule (DPS), including leading the harmonization and integration of sub-schedules from all parties (functions, work package leaders) involved in the project.
The Project Planner needs to challenge all inputs from all parties (including the PM) to ensure a realistic plan.
The Project Planner regularly tracks and reports progress against the baseline schedule and continuously monitors risks and opportunities as well as proactively develops scenarios, mitigation or back-up plans if required.
The Project Planner produces schedule related KPI’s as required.
Project Management support
The Project Planner supports the Project Manager in discussions related to delays and/or improvements of the schedule.
The Project Planner supports the Project Manager representatives communicating detailed schedule objectives or issues to suppliers or partners.
The Project Planner works with the various Function Heads to assign resources to the Schedule, as well as performs the Resource loading analysis
Process and Improvements
The Project Planner ensures RCS R&D Planning process is followed.
To work actively to improve RCS R&D Planning processes & tools. To ensure they are used properly and in line with related processes in RCS.
Qualifications
University Degree preferred in Engineering or Project Management.
Typically, 3-5 years of experience in planning and scheduling.
Knowledge of using Microsoft Office is required.
Knowledge of using Primavera P6 is an advantage.
Experience with using Agile and Waterfall methods is preferred
Desired competencies -Planning, Flexibility, Communication, Customer orientation
Language skills required- Advanced/Business fluent level of English, other international languages are a plus
