Project Portfolio Manager

Sandvik Mining is a leading global supplier of equipment and tools, service and technical solutions for the mining industry. The offering covers rock drilling, rock cutting, rock crushing, loading and hauling and materials handling.

We are looking for a Project Portfolio Manager, to whom we can offer an interesting and qualified role in the mining area.

Key performance areas
As Project Portfolio Manager you will govern and set strategies for the Project Portfolio Management area within Sandvik Mining, as well as follow-up on project demands, strategic business projects, business projects with IT components and facility development projects. Furthermore, your main responsibilities include ensuring the projects are governed and that the Mining Project model is well developed and clearly communicated. The setting and follow up of KPIs is also important. You will also participate in implementation of tools and processes and train project managers in, for example, project methodology/project models.

This position involves traveling.

Your profile
You hold a relevant academic degree or equivalent knowledge acquired in another manner and have at least ten years' experience from major projects and program management, portfolio management and/or major IT projects. You also have good computer skills, including use of the MS Office suite, and the ability to summarize and present information to Senior Management. Experience in financial planning and cost tracking, as well as a certificate in Project Management (PMI/IPMA/Prince2 or similar) is an advantage. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are required for this position.
