We believe you have proven advanced training in Business Management or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years or proven project experience (3-5 years), demonstrating successful track record in managing business change in complex business environment. You have minimum 10 years of experience of developing business and delivering result and minimum 2 years of experience in leading and influencing teams and managers. Furthermore, you have relevant methodology certification within Project Management (PMP, Prince 2) and multicultural experience.
To become successful in this role you have:
• Extensive knowledge of project management and of Retail Establishment Process
• Good understanding of Information Technology and relevant production models
• Knowledge of IKEA Retailing and operational requirements for our units as well as IKEA concept, brand objectives, values, and vision
• Knowledge of IKEA governance process and elaboration of investment requests
• Knowledge of Ingka Group strategies, priorities, and strategic expansion planning process
• Experience of how to create and implement change initiatives and manage stakeholders in IKEA
• Knowledge of the IKEA multichannel shopping experience
• Knowledge of how to set direction, create and manage long-term goals and follow up on KPI

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
As Project Portfolio Manager, you will manage the portfolio of Expansion projects across Ingka to support growth, expansion and sustainable profitability. You will lead, develop and ensure project management methodology connected to Expansion projects and activities across INGKA.
More in detail you will/will be:
• Accountable for accurate portfolio management ensuring best in class low-cost establishments, low time to market and tracking of projects from early idea to full implementation including follow-ups.
• Responsible to ensure that active portfolio management continuously is correctly used and monitored for all INGKA assets and that the correct actions are captured and implemented.
•Make sure that planning processes (MPP, APM, SISAN, MPD & Portfolio) year cycle is communicated to all relevant stakeholders, ensure user training of both ways of working and digital tools. Actively coach and support the INGKA countries in creating the INGKA strategic expansion plan. Make sure only projects that meet all business criteria like profitability level and low cost establishment cost level goes into the approved plan.
• Provide special support to Ready to Exit projects managing the NDA, special governance and training of project member in Ready to Exit process and best practices.
• Ensure implementation and manage change by supporting stakeholders in preparing receiving organisations, learning and communication activities
• Manage communication by planning and distributing relevant information to stakeholders, both to countries and relevant group functions as well as Inter IKEA.
• Contribute to the Investment process of Expansion projects including governance and review of projects, make sure decisions are captured and correctly reflected in tools and reports.
• Responsible to develop and secure correct usage of Planning processes, Portfolio process, APM and ready to exit processes. Support implementation of other processes and tools in the expansion process.
• Secure all relevant expansion processes have corresponding high performing digital tools, that users are trained, and any learnings or improvement potentials are captured and implemented into the digital tool landscape. Make sure there is a digital development roadmap that is aligned and approved with all INGKA expansion process stakeholders.
• Secure that all review and decision outcomes and minutes are captured and properly documented in project and program documentations and tools and made available to relevant stakeholders.
• Responsible for operational follow-up and support to expansion functions (today primarily Central Planning Hub) with focus on operations such as hours spent, lead time, deviations, resource allocations and capacity planning.
• Lead, coach and develop co-workers that will strongly contribute to reach the objectives and goals in Group Expansion
• Be a facilitator, coach and informal mentor to leaders in the markets
• Take lead in working across functions within the market organisation and collaborate with Group Expansion
• Enable all team members to share best practices with and across the organisation.
• Take lead in driving an open and sharing climate, being a role model of the IKEA values where our co-workers are informed, engaged and empowered
• Lead positive change, and contribute to building a more unique, inclusive and accessible IKEA - guided by the People and Planet Positive commitment
This role is located in Malmö and will report to Investment & Operations Manager.
With the customer at the heart of everything we do, Group Expansion takes responsibility for strategic expansion planning enabling penetration of existing and new markets. We take the lead for business development of existing and new customer meeting points. We act on business needs and empower the markets to maximise accessibility, implement our retailing concepts and fully utilise our assets in the new world of IKEA – all at lowest cost, with economy of scale and sustained profitability.
