Join us as a Project Procurement Manager and you’ll be looking at a career-defining role based in Stockholm, Sweden.
Your mission
As a Project Procurement Manager, you will be representing procurement in the project core team and have the full responsibility for all procurement related topics. You are also the representative of the project back to the procurement function and will together with the commodity buyers/managers and domain directors make sure that the procurement strategy can meet the project and customer needs.

Your key responsibilities
Manage the sourcing activity of the Project:
Ensure procurement competitiveness improvement plans are consistent.
Align product procurement strategy for development projects
Challenge project requirements when needed (promote standardization or optimum technology).
Participate to the project management committees.
Encompass Project Material Managers output in the overall picture of the project
Lead and manage project crisis related to the “buy” scope.
Promoting the Alstom Code of Ethics and adhering to the highest standards of ethical conduct.
Propose committed savings and a risk register, including mitigation plan (“RAMP” = Risk Assessment & Mitigation Plan)
Communicate project needs and ensures they are properly taken into account:
Organize project procurement launch meeting with key stakeholders
Challenge new gaps compared to tender commitments, incorporate Return on Experience and escalate if any critical delay is occurring in specification availability.
Facilitate co-operation between Engineering, Industrialization, Supply Chain and Procurement, ask for arbitration in case of conflict.
Publish the specific legal requirements to be considered in negotiation, after analysis of the customer specific demand and after decision with the Project Manager to flow down (or not) these requirements to the suppliers.
Define and implement the Project Procurement Strategy in full respect of QCD commitments:
Establish and agree with the Project Manager and/or Work Package Managers on a Project Procurement Strategy, in line Platform Procurement strategy.
Ensure QCD performance of procurement is properly reported and managed
Animates supplier selection through Business Award process, asks for arbitration when relevant. Lead competitiveness reviews involving the management.
Based on Product-line procurement manager, buyer, SPQD output, supervises contracts execution of selected suppliers until FAI milestone.
Minimum qualifications:
Studies in purchasing or equivalent (engineering, project management..)
3 years of relevant work experience in Procurement and/ or Project Management.

Railway experience and familiarity with Alstom products is plus.
