We are now looking for two new members of the Powertrain Project Procurement Management team. One will lead the new group, Aluminum Casting, and one will lead the Forgings team, as the current manager will continue her leadership journey within Scania Procurement.
Main tasks
In this job, you’ll get the possibility to be part of driving the Procurement transformation, both within Scania and TRATON. You focus on creating the prerequisites for the team to succeed in an evolving and complex environment. You and the team secure our deliverables in Scania and TRATON product development projects. The deliverables consist mainly of supplier nominations and industrialization of the products on time and to the right cost, but also supporting the product development projects with target estimates for investments and part price, as well as identify, handle, and escalate deviations occurring during the project life length.
With solid integrity, you represent the team, the department, Procurement, Scania, and TRATON in a global environment, e.g. in decision meetings & strategic discussions. You will coach colleagues and team members in day-to-day challenges, such as sourcing strategies, negotiation tactics & supplier management.
As a Project Procurement Manager, you and your counterparts within Quality and Commodity (management 3-ring) will set the strategies, and tactics and follow up your targets within your area of responsibility.
Your profile
You are probably proactive, organized, flexible, likes to take initiative, are able to handle multiple open cases, and possess proven leadership skills. Previous experience in procurement, project management, design, or production is an advantage. As your work includes a lot of interactions at different levels, at Suppliers, at Scania, and at our sister brands in TRATON, it is important that you have the ability to collaborate and build trust, and are clear in your communication with others. You should have high integrity and good judgment, and work according to the Scania leadership principles. You have knowledge of Swedish and speak and write fluently in English.
Who am I as your manager?
My name is Mattias Pettersson and I have been working at Scania in different areas such as Production, R&D, and Procurement. In Procurement, I have had various roles since 1997 and have been a manager for the last 20 years. I am deeply committed to the success and development of our team.
