Project Product Owner
Nasdaq is looking for a Project Product Owner to join our team delivering solutions to customers seeking systems providing clearing, collateral management and settlement solutions, integrated with other downstream applications such as reporting and risk management applications. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the scope of the solution being delivered to a customer by keeping track of the size (complexity) of the identified scope, ensuring that the backlog is prioritised and managing changes.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
As a Project Product Owner, you will be responsible for owning the scope of the customer solution. You will be acting between business analysts, project managers and the development team to ensure that priorities are understood and scope increases (or decreases) are managed appropriately.
Furthermore you will:
Participate in design studies with new customers to perform gap analysis (which will be the project scope) between the Nasdaq offered product and the customer needs/wants.
Be a key person in customer projects leading the team backlog by producing the detailed prioritised sprint plan for an agile development team.
Collaborate with other Product Owners/Delivery leads to prioritize business needs into the right set of objectives and key results.
Collaborate with customers, developers, designers, project managers, key stakeholders and other teams to facilitate the team while gathering requirements and understanding customer needs.
Understand the scope and the technical solutions to help make decisions and provide additional project/product assistance when needed.
Lead the scope for changes and scope creep to ensure that the project/product stays on track of what was agreed on.
In some cases, write agile requirements according to customer needs.
You will bring:
A degree in Computer Science, Business, Finance or related discipline
2 to 5 years experience as a product owner
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The ability to work closely with agile, cross functional development teams
Strong estimation and planning capabilities
Experience in working with Confluence and Jira
The ability to travel globally
It would be great if you have:
Additional business analysis experience
Experience in the financial technology industry
