The project purchaser will have an important role in securing component supply to our NPI (New Product Introduction) for shortest possible time to market and achieving competitive components costs through negotiation and supplier selections. The project purchaser will make a big difference to Axis bottom line and ability to introduce new products with optimized supply chain, are you the one we are looking for?

What you'll do here as Project Purchaser:
The project purchaser is responsible for supporting new product development projects regarding sourcing related tasks, from concept phase until hand over for volume production. You will have a wide network of contacts internally across Axis and externally with suppliers and manufacturing partners. Your involvement will not be limited to sourcing activities only since project development is deeply inter-connected and you will get insight, and take part, of problem solving in many other areas as well.

Typical responsibilities include:

Evaluate quotes, negotiate and select suppliers in new projects together with commodity managers and R&D.

Review and analyze BOM (Bill Of Material) in term of costs, lead times and risk.
*

Order placement and follow up towards supplier, including close cooperation with contract manufacturing partners, to ensure all components and materials are secured for prototype builds and production ramp up.

Collaboration with other departments as R&D, Sourcing, Industrial Lead, Supply and Quality during development phase.
*

Assist and provide input on supplier performance for developing the supplier base together with commodity managers. Also working together with commodity managers when new suppliers are needed to make sure they are approved according to our standards.

Maintaining component and supplier information data in business system.
*

The position requires approximately 5-10 days of travelling a year.

We believe that you are a relationship builder who enjoys working together in teams and like taking initiative. You are analytic, well-structured and result oriented with a keen interest in the business. We believe that you are a service minded individual with an open mind and strong drive.

We'd love to hear that you have:

* A degree in Industrial Economy, Business, Supply Chain Management or similar.
* Technical and market knowledge about electronics and mechanical components.
* About 2 years of purchasing/sourcing experience from international companies.
* Excellent MS Office skills, comfortable working in ERP or other IT-systems.
* Excellent skills in English.
* Experience and understanding of different business cultures through-out the world.
