We are now looking for a Project Purchaser Electronics to join our sourcing group within Axis´s Operations department.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
It is crucial to keep a high service level to the projects and secure that we minimize our ramp-up times to the market. The project purchaser will have an important role in ensuring component supply to our NPI (New Product Introduction) projects.

The job includes:

* Purchase order placement and order follow up towards suppliers for components and materials to secure prototype build and production start-up.
* Review and estimate BOM (Bill Of Material) in term of costs, multi-source alternatives.
* Close cooperation with our manufacturing partners to ensure they have all components/materials available for each prototype build.
* Close cooperation with R&D and industrial lead during project developing phase.
* Assist and give input for developing the electronic supplier base together with commodity manager for electronics.
* Maintain database to ensure data is correct for components and supplier information.

The person holding this position will also run smaller projects within the sourcing area.
The position requires approximately 10 days of travelling a year.

In addition to above we believe that you have:

* University degree in Electronics Engineering, Supply Chain Management or similar.
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in sourcing/purchase environment, preferable within electronic components field.
* A business mind and enjoy daily contact with suppliers.
* Strong ability to collaborate across organizational and cultural boarders and it’s considered an advantage to have experience from ERP system.
* Basic technical understanding.
* Good knowledge in MS Office, especially Excel and Word.
* Excellent skills in English, both oral and writing.
* Hands on approach and are used to do what needs to be done.

THE SOURCING TEAM
The sourcing team is responsible for providing optimal supplier base to assure total supply chain cost are minimized, quality standards are maintained and service level to R&D remain high to be able to meet Axis time to market requirements and growth. The team is involved in all stages of a products lifetime - e.g. development, design for manufacturing, industrialization and product data management in PDM and ERP system during development of new products. During serial production the group supports with maintenance and product changes. The main collaboration interfaces are all departments at Operations and R&D.
