The Procurement organization is a global function and collaborates across Europe, Asia and the Americas.

To handle the continued strong push for driving product development, it is now time to hire a Project Purchasing Manager for the team. Focus will be to address the challenges associated with the ambitious plans to expand the product portfolio. Also, working with the Asian and American project purchasing teams in driving the project purchasing agenda cross Thule Group is equally prioritized.

You will report to the VP, Global Procurement. The location will be in Hillerstorp, Sweden.

You will have staff of six (6) direct reports (5 Project purchasers and 1 Prototype purchaser) and one (1) dotted line reporting to project purchaser in Americas.

Your main responsibilities
The position will mainly center around two main tasks. Driving, managing and realizing the full potential of the project purchasing team and also being operationally a big part of the team delivering hands-on purchasing projects. This means balancing leading a team of highly qualified purchasers at the same time as being an integral part of the same team. Among many responsibilities, these are included:            

- Represent the purchasing organization in development projects and take full sourcing responsibility for all purchasing related issues
- Assure that purchased components and/or materials in new development projects are delivered on time, to the agreed quality and within the targeted cost and aligned with the category sourcing strategies
- Develop the sourcing deliverables in the Thule Project System as well as developing internal best practice tool box for project purchasing
- Develop the prototype purchasing function/process in cooperation with the prototype department
- Work with the development projects to drive a standardization work in order to be able to reduce cost and increase flexibility long term

Your profile and skills
To succeed in this role we believe you have solid experience from hands-on tactical sourcing as well as experience of managing a team of sourcing specialists with a high drive. Using the drive and energy of the team and focusing this in the right direction will be a key success factor.

Project management skills and experience from working with cross-functional teams is a must and experience from an international business environment is a strong merit. We would like to see som experience in ERP systems (INFOR M3 preferable)

When it comes to personal attributes, we believe you have a structured approach, high integrity, as well as a driving and selling personality. You are likely a strong communicator and decision maker with good leadership capabilities and negotiation skills.
