Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Scania Purchasing is responsible for the purchase of products and services to all of Scania units worldwide.

General Information

We are looking for a Manager for the group Project Purchasing Electronics (SCH) within the department Cab & Electronics (SC). You will be responsible to drive and coordinate purchase activities in pre-development and development projects for components such as, cable harness, electrical components.

Electronics is an area that is of growing importance within the company. Many of the future Scania strategies demands a high level of advanced electronics and we can now offer You a chance to participate in the journey of developing Scania’s electronics purchasing, towards Scania’s overall vision of transforming to become a sustainable transport system provider and meet the Science-Based Targets.

Main tasks

Team responsibilities include keeping track of the project time lines and other purchasing deliverables, such as supplier negotiations, nomination activities, forming sourcing strategies, and prototype purchasing. In addition also prepare for cross-functional decision points throughout the projects. The team supports the organization to give the best possible quality regarding estimations of investments in supplier tools, material cost into the projects, as well as monitor and follow up on deviations and changes. Early active involvement in the PD-Process is key for achieving sufficient design to lowest possible cost.

As a leader of this team, You are probably proactive, positive, creative, flexible, take own initiatives, are able to handle multiple open issues and prosper in a dynamic environment.
